I REALLY REALLY want to vote for Hank, but I am not sure I can justify it.

Bag well played more than 1/2 his career in the Grand Canyon known as the Astrodome, and still put up ungodly numbers. I ignore the stink since everyone in the era has it, and you can't know if actually was dirty.

For Hank, he won the MVP twice back in the day when there was only 1 MVP in the majors.

I reluctantly vote Bagwell here...

Walks- Bagwell(close)
BA- Greenberg(close)- so many less at bats is why this is close
SO- Bagwell was better compared to his peers Greenberg had a career 13.8% SO rate while the MLB average was 8.8% and had over his average 7 times. Bagwell had a career 16.5% rate while the MLB average was 16.3% and he had over his average 9 times.(close)
power- Greenberg
Career longevity- bagwell(not close)
Playoffs- Greenberg(not close)
defense- Bagwell(close)- not a strength by either
speed- Bagwell( did anyone know that bagwell had 30 SBs twice- I know I didn't realize that)

I am going to give this win to Greenberg... He was the better power hitter, and that is both players strengths... Not to mention Greenberg was significantly better in the playoffs...

Greenberg lost nearly 4 seasons to WWII. His HR total would have been 450+ if you give those years back. And the Tigers were a very good team in the 40's so he may have won more than 2 MVPs as well.
