WOW! You know....that's interesting.....because I hate it when certain fans try to "re-live the past." At least my past was only a season ago, and my guy barring injury is probably better than he was in the elusive "past." Which means what I'm saying about him probably isn't too far fetched. He doesn't have the top speed as some of the other backs, but in my opinion he has the best vision, better jukes, more power, more stamina, and better hands, and he really isn't slow since the only guys catching him are defensive backs. That's called a total package.

Latt is the most skilled, and he's back at 100%. His finishing speed is always a question. He'll have a big year if we can stretch the field (vertically), hit some long balls. Otherwise, opponents are just going to stack the box and he'll struggle like he has on occasions in the past. SEC defenses are no joke (I had to throw that in there).

But this is just killing time. Put 'em out on the field and let's see what they all do.

one thing for the badger fans...i don't think any husker fan has said that Rex deserves to be above ball. would we trade you guys? hell no. but from what I've read, a couple husker fans said that Lattimore deserved the top spot, and then it dove into you guys telling us how much better ball is than burkhead, and rebuttals about how he isn't the second coming of christ like you guys seem to think.

I haven't said a word about Burkhead. I mostly just responded to bits and pieces that I didn't like. Running up the score, touchdowns only resulting from late quarter blowouts against weak teams. Suggestions that anyone could run like that behind our OL. Now you're putting words in my mouth. But I do kind of wonder if he can walk on water, now that you mention it....

And this is just more of the same. Every debate with you Husker fans ends the same way. With you guys doing a retrospective on the path the debate took and completely misrepresenting my opinions because you have found yourselves on the wrong side of the facts, but you still want to "win."

1. It's tough to rebut the "argument" that Lattimore is better than Ball when the whole argument is "all the tangible facts suggest Ball is better, but Lattimore runs the 40 in one-tenth of a second less, so we'll put him ahead." How are we supposed to rebut an argument that is ignorant of all facets of actual results?

2. I've typed three sentences about Rex Burkhead, and it was just to show hypocritical the Burkhead-loving OP is. I typed just as much about Trent Richardson for goodness sakes. I swear you guys are delusional and think all our lives revolve around Nebraska. They don't.

3. So your complaint is that I am rebutting inferences that simply don't correspond with the facts? Really? What do you want us to do....say "we accept your conclusion that Montee padded stats despite the fact that he carried the ball most against ranked teams and almost never carried it in the fourth? Or is that you don't want us to post at all?

I stated my case pretty damn clearly and it is a good one. Ball racked up the garbage time yards and TDs last year and there is no way around that.

Showing me stats about how many carries he got in the 4th quarter is deceptive. When I say "late in games" I mean the game is clearly out of reach and Ball is still getting touches. Neither one of you directly responded to my post which clearly illustrates my reason for calling Ball overrated.

Actually. It appears to be about how Montee Ball is overrated because he shredded horrible defenses like Oregon State and Nebraska in the 3rd quarter so that Beilema could keep him in shape to play full games and score in the 3rd quarter against good defenses like Michigan State's.
