They should have Bryan Marchment on a list instead of Selanne. If the current Sharks team have Marchment, we will be a different team

I'm sure that Nieuwendyk and Modano must remember Marchment from the first round of the 1998 playoffs. Marchment was hated so much in Dallas that the FBI investigated death threats posted against him during the series on the Dallas Morning News website. What a series, though. Sharks tried very hard to make a comeback from a 2-0 series deficit. Zyuzin scored in OT for a 1-0 win in one of the home games. Nolan went after Belfour in Dallas. Crazy Belfour attacked Ragnarsson at the end of one of the Sharks' wins in SJ and was ejected, with fans throwing beer onto the ice. Sharks almost forced a Game 7 at Reunion Arena but unfortunately blew a 2-0 lead in Game 6 at home and lost on Mike Keane's goal early in the OT. Miss those KICU/TV36 days of Sharks' hockey. :D

Those were the days. Not very much talent on those late 90's teams, but they were full of hard workers and they fought to the bitter end. If this Sharks team only had their work ethic.

This whole thing was a fucking joke.

They make the fans vote online for #1-3 between Marleau/Thornton/Nabby and the vote comes out something like 71% Marleau, 15% Nabby and 14% Thornton (about right, as it should be)... then Drew Fucking Remenda goes on to announce that Marleau is #2 and Thornton is #1.

Fuck you, Drew Remenda! We know you love Thornton but come on...

To be honest, at the end of their careers, Joe and Patty probably will be #1 and #2 (not sure which order) in terms of the greatest Sharks of all time statistically, longevity-wise, and so on, but I still think Nolan and Nabby deserve to be #1 and #2 and Ricci deserved to be a hell of a lot higher on that list than he was. Fucking Jeff Norton was #9?! How the fuck does Norton even belong on the list at all? I don't give a shit if he was part of that Ozolinsh - Makarov - Larionov mix, he still didn't deserve a top 10 spot. Besides that, I wouldn't say it was a bad list, it just wasn't handled properly and the spots that were picked based on jersey number were pretty stupid too.

Marleau was drafted by the sharks, and will remain one until the end of the career. He's been part of the franchise in the lean years and towards it's current state, he should be #1 on that alone, especially when you consider he is home grown not a trade acqusition
