Does anyone else think this list is bullshit so far? How the fuck is Mike Ricci only number 18?

It'll be interesting to see how it ends up. I wonder if they're weighting longevity more than the actual skills/success that the players had as Sharks. I do agree so far that it seems Ricci is too low.

I think this has been what it is so far, but I could be wrong:

20) Marco Sturm
19) Teemu Selanne
18.) Mike Ricci

I will make a prediction for the Top 4 right now:

1) Patrick Marleau
2) Owen Nolan
3) Evgeni Nabakov
4) Joe Thornton

Wasn't Mike Rajthe (aka Barney the Dinosaur) in the list already mentioned by Randy & Drew?

For our mutual whining purposes, this is what the list has been so far:

20. Marco Sturm
19. Teemu Selanne
18. Mike Ricci
17. Mike Rathje
16. Dan Boyle
15. Jeff Friesen

I don't really have a problem with any of those so far, but I think Reech should be in the top 10. As far as my top 3, I'd go with Nolan, Nabby, and then Marleau.

It really depends on what this list is based on tho, era, impact, previous careers before SJ, what they did in there time with SJ...

My top 3 would be Irbe, Makarov, Larionov... On the basis of they made the team something when they were surrounded by NOTHING... One could argue that Kelly Kiso should be up there to cause he had even less to work with then the 2 forwards I mentioned... I also wouldnt include Mike Rathje on this list, just because he was on the roster so long doesnt justify the fact that he never lived up anything close to his potential and was a bigger pansy then Thornton (insert arguement here)... Marleau #1 on a mock list?? NO way in hell, again, surrounded by talent, what has he done??

I have Marleau Number #1 not because I think he should be, but because that is how I think Randy/Drew will have made the list.

So where will Craig Janney end up on this list? :D

Rathje? His ONLY claim is that he was probably the most improved player the year that Sutter took over - but that would be about it. I would have Rags in place of him easily.

Completely agree with Maks and Larionov -

Irbe, Larionov, Makarov, Big Joe, Marleau, Nabby, Nolan, Sutter, Damphousse. These nine guys should be in the top 10.

Randy and Drew probably will have 3 of these 4: Big Joe, Marleau, Nolan and Irbe in the top 3.

LOL...Selanne played 2 full seasons for San Jose, and we missed the PO in 02-03 and he is #19.

This list is idiotic. Did anyone else notice how they're just slotting guys based on their jersey number? Its one thing to have it happen once or twice, but so far its happened 3 times with Ricci (#18), Cheech (#14), and Baker (#13). Does this mean that Nolan's going to be #11? If Nolan isn't in the top 5 then this list is absolute garbage IMO.

yeah, the numbers thing is kinda dumb... If they put patty at 12, that would show it off too...

Honestly The top 5, in order that I would pick would have been:

1. Marleau (argh, but hey, he's the face of the franchise)
2. Nolan
3. Belfour... ooops I mean, Nabby
4. Ricci
5. Irbe

Then maybe jumbo, hannan, cheech, dampussy...

I haven't been following very much but I did hear them talking when Rathje's name was revealed and the way they were talking, they made it sound like Suter will not be on the list. FWIW.

I vote for Link Gaetz. Just saying. :p
