My bad, that is actually what they say about Leino.

I'm nominating "get the puck on/to the net." First of all, it's pretty obvious (see what I did there?) that you won't score without the puck heading to the net, yes. Secondly, everyone knows it and STILL half the players in the NHL hold the puck way too long. If you have the puck, you need to be doing one of five things: shooting, passing, getting open for a shot or pass, bringing the puck up ice, or holding the puck in your defensive zone while waiting for a line change/Tampa Bay to figure out what a forecheck is. And yet people get to the offensive zone, and they hold it and hold it and then the guy who was 20 feet out of position is now back in his spot while you are still holding the puck. Or they skate into the zone, down the sides, and fling it to an open wing where there isn't anyone to pick it up. Or they get the puck in the slot and pass it to another guy who isn't any more open or any better at shooting.

When in doubt, shoot. When not in doubt, shoot. If you have a 5% scoring rate, but you take 3 times as many shots as everyone else, it's like you have a 15% scoring rate. Goalies let in softies all the time, and you need to take advantage of their incompetence! At least that's how my BaP in NHL 12 works!
