I picked Bob Stoops. I don't see him leaving Oklahoma, nor do I see him being fired.

I do wonder how long Kirk Ferentz will stay at Iowa once all of his own kids graduate from Iowa.

I picked Beamer because I think that college football has changed and I don't think that long tenures are going to be very common. I see him going about 5 more years.

Hasn't he had health problems?

I think this will be Mack Brown's final year, regardless of record.

From looking at him in the media day, he just looks... tired.

Ferentz isnt ever leaving IMO. Why in the hell would you leave a top 5-10 paying job when all you have to do is go 7-5ish to keep people happy???

To go pro and earn more money. Yes, he has turned down tons of offers, but he still has kids that hasn't graduated from Iowa yet. I do think he will stay for a little while after that, but I don't think he will stay at Iowa as long as Stoops stays at Oklahoma.

Stoops is at a place that pays him well, consistantly top 5-10 program, top recruits, very traditional, etc. Frank Beamer and Bill Snyder are the last of an era, but I think Stoops is a man of that time in a new era.

Jerms you are assuming ahead coaching job?? Im not sure he'd get one of those now. If it was 2005 and Iowa was coming off of 3 straight top 10 finishes then maybe but record of 7-5,6-6,6-7,7-6,8-5,9-4 etc arent exactly screaming NFL head coach.

I would be shocked if Ferentz won't have more Top 10 seasons during his tenure.

Im sure he will but even if he stays at Iowa 5 more years how many 62 year old guys get hired as NFL head coaches for the first time?? Hell how many 57 year old guys get hired as first time NFL head coaches?? His window is pretty much closed IMO. ONLY exception would be for a job with KC or somewhere where his buddy would be doing the hiring and even then I cant see it.

I'd have to go with Beamer. His job is the most secure, imho.

Gary Pinkel and his wife divorced this past offseason so I expect him to try to coach a few years more than he originally planned. As long as we have our current AD, his job will be safe regardless as to how we fare in the SEC. On another note, I went with Stoops.

I gave Patterson a vote, he's building his own program at TCU, and he definitely isn't going to retire any time soon.
