I would offer to but I don't think you would be interested. 43 and I must travel in different circles. My friends and Facebook "friends" seem to be far more logical and on an even keel than his.

Mostly this week I hear scenarios about how the Ravens can make it in with most people not being optimistic. I haven't heard the Steelers mentioned much at all.

Brandon Stokely retired today. Not a star but he had a decent 15 year career.

Well good...that's much more healthy than the ilk I tend to run into on the internets, which isn't really shocking, because it's the internet. Hah. Most Steelers fans are just in the "eh, if it happens it happens" boat/missed a million opportunities.

After the start the Steelers had, it's pretty amazing they have a chance for a spot the last week of the season.

What kills me, is the team that's out there right now could probably compete. Best year Ben's had in awhile. Probably only second to his '07 campaign. They're not in the bad spot I thought they were because some young guys have stepped up on D. Gotta cut loose some dead weight, old fart, high paid guys though. They choked away some games early though. Tennessee, Oakland, Miami games were all bad losses.

Does anybody else think it's bullshit that the Cardinals could miss the playoffs if they beat the Seahawks & 49ers in back to back games & finish 11-5 while two of the Bears, Packers, Eagles & Cowboys are going to make the playoffs?

No, I'll think it's poetic fucking justice for when they made the playoffs at 9-7 in a terrible division and then Larry Fitzgeralded their way to the Super Bowl, including hosting two home games against the 11-5 Falcons and the 9-6-1 Eagles.

NFL playoff rules are dumb; right now the final AFC playoff spot is up for grabs, and nobody controls their own destiny. You heard that right; every single team who can get in needs help to get in. If all four teams still alive win, Miami gets the spot. If all four teams still alive lose, Miami gets the spot. If Miami and Baltimore win but San Diego loses... Baltimore gets it.
