Too Much Exposure

While glancing at the schedule this morning, I noticed that the Capitals' next five games are all on national tv. (4 on NHL Network, 1 on Versus) I realize they're a team with "star power"...But c'mon, five consecutive games!?!?


As has been said time and time again, this league is full of young and exciting players...someone needs to get their head out of their ass and get these up and comers some airtime!

There will never be balanced exposure for other teams/players. It's ridiculous, but thats what sells. And unfortunately it births tons and tons of bandwagon fans.

I am glad i subscribe to Center Ice. It is nice to be able to watch LA, St. Louis, Calgary, etc.. without the same 5 -6 teams being shoved down your throat on national tv.

I have Center Ice too. I feel like it's somewhat of a waste since I primarily order it for the Caps games! Lol. I also get Sunday Ticket and Extra Innings for my Skins and O's. But they're rarely on national tv so it's worth it!

By the way, thanks for making the trade with me in Fantasy Football. I hope it works out well for both of us. How funny that we're playing each other this week?!?!

Thanks man, i think i lost 2 in a row and my rb's were leaving a lot to be desired. It was nice having 3 decent qb's to be able to let one go.

Oh, hockey season has started? Why doesn't someone ever tell me these things? Detroit has had 4+ days off for 3 weeks in a row now.

I'm pretty sure I would get NHL Center Ice if I lived in the States, but between TSN, Sportsnet, and CBC, my hockey calendar is quite full already.

/It could be worse CR, up here it's a steady diet of Leafs hockey ;-(

No kidding!! I fucking hate CBC sometimes. I remember a few years back (when the Sens were actually contenders) and they were playing the Red Wings on a Saturday night. The two teams were combined something like 32-6-4. CBC showed the Leafs against the Panthers as their national game. Unreal.

Yep, I remember that too and that game turned out to be one hell of a game. It was also the game where Heatley got hurt. He was never the same after that and I don't think he still is.

As for the Caps being on national TV for 5 straight games? That's ridiculous. There are a lot of good young players out there and a lot of good teams. It's one of the reasons why a lot of people don't like the Caps or the Pens. Because people get sick and tired of the media blabbering on about them.

I hope I didn't mislead you...there will be other games televised on Versus and NHL Network during that time. It's just that five consecutive Caps games are on one network or the other.
