well mr. hockey...the lead questions every time the coach meets with the media since this team was 2-1 has been when does Romo play? When does he start? Will you sit Prescott when Tony is ready? It's been a topic on most the NFL talk circuits....perhaps you missed all that.

Considering the "will Tony start or play backup" has been all anyone talking about Dallas has been able to talk about for the last 5 weeks, yeah I'd say he needs the press conference.

Not a cowboy fan nor a Tony Romo fan. I heard his statement first on the radio on the way home from work, can't think of any statement like that from any athlete in the past. Thought it was a great statement about where he is, where he has been heading and about the team, their current QB and the success of the team. He basically answered the question of why everyone was there and pretty much all the questions about his position with the team since he got injured in the first place. I think he nailed it.

My opinion of the cowboys has not changed, rather root against them by default against almost any team, but as for Romo, not sure what his future is, but my opinion of him has changed from really didn't care one way or another to respect.

years ago they play a home Sunday night game, Romo is driving home after the game and see's an older couple on the side of the road with a flat, pulled around and helped the old couple change the tire. Old man called the story in the next day and said the first thing he told Romo when he got out of his car was don't tell me who won...I recorded the game.
