2. Schenn - easily been the flyers 2nd best player since the ASG. EASILY.

1. Bryz - the MDZ goal and Gaborik goal are inexcusable. These are exactly the type of goals that bryz has been allowing ALL season, i dont blame guys for giving up when he's out there.. those are back breaking goals, both of them, and both of them are stoppable.. a bad bounce is no longer an excuse, we've been trying to use that excuse the whole season, goaltenders make their own luck just like players do.. put yourself in a position to stop the puck, and have no holes, and you're going to stop the puck.. bryz is holier than the bible this season.

2. Carle - you effing kidding me with the turnover on the rags 4th goal? (i think it was the 4th)

3. Bourdon - dont worry, i didn't forget that you basically made the EXACT same play carle did 2 seconds before he made it.. so you suck too

Other thoughts:
1. I think we've underrated the importance of JvR and Briere.. without them teams can fully focus on shutting down the HGJ line and successfully limit the flyers offense.. all due respect to the rooks (and simmer), but they just cant be relied on to score all the teams goals..

2. I think its time to split up the HGJ line, at least until jvr and briere come back.. they are basically a 1 line team and they're getting shut down.. i'd keep the rinaldo.schenn.simmonds line together, but i would try hartnell.couturier.read and voracek.giroux.jagr (though im not sure i like this line, too many puck carriers)


3. Make a trade for a dman. I dont think the flyers should wait til the deadline. Make a move, they need it.

4. That all being said, i dont agree w/ anyone who says the flyers didn't work this weekend.. they worked most of the weekend. they cashed in the 'ref' card for 30 minutes on saturday, but aside from that i thought the effort was there, and really, that's what i really look for.. carle, mesz, coburn, and bourdon are retarded, they need to practice, but they are trying IMO

5. if i'm lavy, i'm practicing breakouts, ALL DAY tomorrow.. like a 6 hour practice on breakouts.. 2 hours watching how fucking horrible they are at them, 3 hours practicing, and 1 hour watching how fucking horrible they are at them, again.. and in the next few games, if you miss an outlet pass, you miss a shift. 2 in a row, and you're done for the period.. i dont care who it is, if its bourdon or giroux, the breakouts HAVE to be better.. voracek cant be the only guy who can successfully move the puck from behind our line, to the offensive zone

as i mentioned, i only watched the 3rd period, so i dont consider myself qualified to say more than that haha.. schenn and simmer looked pretty good in the 3rd, Gee had like 3 highlight reels to himself (well, aside from nabby stuffing him every time).. so i assume the 3 of them played well

It's all good. I'm just glad the Isles have a 2 game winning streak against the Flyers after 5 years of getting their ASSES KICKED.

2. Bryzgalov. Feel free to stop something in the shootout, but it's hard to blame a guy when he puts up 65 scoreless minutes.
3. Giroux. Played like it was the playoffs today, was all over the ice, and was calling for the puck. I cannot tell you how happy I am to see our best player calling for the puck.

Goats:
1. Shooting percentage - 45 shots, guys, you've gotta bury SOMETHING.
2. Carle - Matt Carle, a man on a mission to end the season with more turnovers than minutes played.
3. Laviolette. What is Simmonds doing on your shootout list? He's a great guy to have on the ice, don't get me wrong, but he is to the shootout as Tox is to liking Hartnell - it's just not something he does!

1. Hartnell - love gordie howe hat tricks, didn't deserve an extra two on the fight after his goal, that was BS (refs were pretty bad again tonight, but at least they missed calls both ways)

2. Mesz - he was all over the ice tonight.. which is a good thing (see goats)

Coburn - that was pretty gross. i'll give you a slide a little cause it's been a while since you played that poorly.. i hope lupul took you to dinner though cause he had his way with you at night.. got in your head on the first two goals, then you focused on him instead of the puck on the 3rd. ouch. (good thing mesz played well)

2. Jagr - hustled, but a lot of giveaways i thought.. trying to do too much by himself.. far too many 1 on 3+ chances tried tonight

3. Lavy - bit of a stretch, and maybe more of a note, but i think after a while he shoulda realized the leafs top line was owning the timo/coburn pair.. though he did shorten the bench and go with timo.coburn and mesz.carle for at least the last 10 minutes, which i liked.. which brings me to..

notes: just kinda realized tonight, but if the flyers top d-pair is getting beaten by the line they're matched up w/ (presumably the top line of the other team) there isn't really an adjustment they can make because carle is playing with bourdon, and mesz is playing with gust.. and obviously you dont want a rookie to go head to head w/ a top line.. just another reason to add another d-man
