It's not just guys going under screens, it's the hard doubles in the pick and roll and also the hard hedges from the opposing bigs. Normally this is the way to go when you have one great shooter. The problem is that you're not simply giving up a 2 instead of a 3. The 2 becomes another 3 because of the attacking and penetration the Warriors get off the P&R.

The Warriors are fantastic passers and have a plethora of shooters on the court at any one time. Even if you go over the screen, the problem becomes what do the Bigs do? Do they hedge? If they do, this creates a 4 on 3 where the defense has to sag to give help, leaving another shooter open. If the big doesn't hedge or come up high, Curry has a wide open shot, with the defender trailing.
And that's why I said guys have to stay disciplined on defense. They guys that are slackers in terms of man to man defense will be exposed (what you just explained). If they're pretty good defenders then chances are the Warriors are passing until they find the weakest link on defense and break it down.

So basically...be a smart, disciplined defensive team and you have a shot at winning.

Yeah, I'm not saying what they do is bad, it's great. Gang rebounding is great, but it still doesn't take away from it being difficult to do.
Oh totally agree. We see it with other teams on occasion. The Warriors on the other hand are relentless and don't give up on plays generally. They're the same way on offense. If the defense closes a gap or shuts down a lane they run the same play the opposite direction...and keep running it until the defense breaks down. LOL

With the Warriors you have to defend the entire 24 seconds of the shot clock...otherwise most likely they will get a high % shot.

This is really getting me amped up to see them face San Antonio once SA's offense gets going. It's bad right now (yet still Top 10 in the league.)

This matchup is going to be insane.

As a Spurs fan, if the Warriors were to face the Spurs, what would be the reasons the Warriors would win and what would be the reasons the Warriors lose?

Yea it will be a good game and great to see how each team measures up. The Warriors in terms of another top 3 contender in the WC and the Spurs in terms of how they measure up to the top team in the WC.

Warriors would win if the Spurs got lazy on the defensive end, and their offense still wasn't improved. They're an incredible defensive team, but like I said before, they have stupid moments on defense and it allows an incredible amount of teams to get wide open shots that they should never be getting with the offense that they have. Obviously that's not the case with the Warriors, as they're more than likely going to get a lot of what they want.

Kawhi and Green need to fight around those screens and try to at least contain Curry and Thompson. That's the Spurs' only hope. If they can contain one of the two, that's a plus. It's impossible to stop them. With the addition of Aldridge, their rebounding has gotten a boost as well. Before this year, they weren't ever considered a good defensive rebounding team. Add that in with the fact that Kawhi has emerged as someone who constantly crashes the glass, it helps big time. West as well.

Basically, just play Spurs basketball and pretty much that will always give you the chance to win games. Just because of how they play. Once their starting 5 gels and the offense starts getting back to what it used to be, they'll be an even bigger threat than they are now. The bench has been our savior this year.

Should be really good. Imo, the Spurs are hands down the biggest threat to the Warriors chances of a repeat. The one area where you can say the Warriors are vulnerable is the the paint. TinaFey Mozgov looked like an all-star for part of that series last year and got Tristan Thompson a max deal. The Spurs have guys who are actual all-stars. Plus, they can just about hold their own on 3 point shooting vs. the Warriors and are arguably the most disciplined team in the league on defense.

If they meet in the playoffs with both teams relatively healthy, it should be an epic 7 game series.

Not having Klay will definitely be a factor tonight. Good news is Barbosa is back, so that helps. Going to be a very tough game against a scrappy Boston team. Respect how much they fight every night.

Warriors are going to be missing close to 32 ppg tonight in Klay and Barnes out. That's going to be hard to replace.

W/out Thompson/Barnes on the road vs. a good Boston team. If they pull this off and keep rolling and get healthy then idk who's going to stop them.
