Pretty crazy stuff. Never would've thought that I'd see that. It almost felt like we were talking about an undefeated boxer instead of an NBA team. It's impossible to predict when a team will have a streak like that again.

Kerr has always said that defending the title comes before the streak or the record. My guess is that they will rest players. If the record happens, it happens, but it's not the main goal, just icing on the cake if they happen to be fortunate enough to do it.
