I should take it as a complement that my boss thinks I'm the only one who can handle it but I hate spotlights and am kinda pissed to be put on the spot.

It stops being a compliment when your boss drops everything in your lap just because he knows you'll get it done, but then you don't get any recognition.

I deal with this type of shit on a daily basis, I know the feeling. On one hand, it feels good to be able to make shit happen. On the other hand, it starts to feel like everyone else slacks off cuz they know you'll make everything work out.
