Depends. Veldheer is a much better tackle. Saffold is an injury prone but pro bowl calibur Guard, imo.

Saffold as an LT?

The money I heard floating around had Saffold making more than Valdheer. They ain't paying Saffold that kind of money to play guard.

Saffold is overvalued as a tackle due to his stats as a rookie when Bradford was in Shurmer's '4yd pass' offense. Saffold never really got tested. In year 2 when McDaniels came in and put a normal offense into play, Saffold got destroyed.

Palmer is fine. He will be even better now that he will have time sit in the pocket. SS & CB should be the priority if Veldheer is signed. I was hoping they would go after TJ Ward now with the money they didn't spend on Dansby.

The browns would still have close $19 mil in cap space after acquiring Revis & signing Dansby. If it were to happen. Probably only cost them a 4th round pick.

Yah and that's taking a chance he is healthy. I guess since they have the money it is worth the risk. They can always pick up another young corner in the draft.

If you're talking about Veldheer and Cooper being added to that oline while keeping the core of the defense intact...its pretty scary.

Revis production for a year or 2 is worth at least a 4th. You can cut him clean after the season with no cap hit. To me it is worth the gamble of a 4th rounder.

Considering Palmer put up close to top ten numbers for the last 10 games or so, having more time will only improve those numbers.

I am not really sure what the Raiders are doing. To me Saffold would be a downgrade from Veldheer.
