Isn't there a better chance to recover an onside kick if the ball is bounced, not just kicked straight ahead?

It'd be more like 65 to 70 seconds left......
It was a trick kick. He kicked with his left foot.......the idea was to kick the ball past the layer of receivers on that side of the field and one of our fast guys to run down and grab it.
Basically the idea was to try and gain yards out of the onside kick.
Yeah that was sure tricky.
Bo = overrated
Nebraska = overrated
2011 = Another failed year
It was pretty tricky........he acted like he was gonna kick it to the left side of the field and then ended up cross-kicking it to the right side of the field.
Maher is not left-footed you know
Stanford won today
#3 played good.....nothing to bitch about there thats for sure
So what? Bouncing the ball gives the kicking team a better chance to recover the kick.
I know that! I'm just saying, we only had 18 seconds. By the time we recovered the kick we would have had about 14 seconds. Then we would need to get into field goal range from our 45 yard line throwing the ball into the wind.
He was trying to get the ball and pick up yards all in one onside kick. Two birds with one stone.
