it's funny, I put on 2001, and I had forgotten how aweomse the PQ is (the AQ is lacking, they should reissue) but I put this on as a demo disc (out of about 10) when I have people over and they say "why do you buy old movies in hi-def" ....
the set design/etc might be dated, but it's as sharp and clear as can be ... their minds melt when i tell them the original film stock can hold up to 4x more resolution really ....
I can watch the movie now in better quality than when it was made/released. AWESOME

lol I don't remember it looking that pretty.

granted I'm taking hand-held stills in dim light with a camera that deosnt really go ISO enough... but my color/bright/sharp/etc are calibrated to standards on disc (and the BD is mastered correctly)


that's what it should* look like , with a tiny bit of blur/noise
