Seriously, if I am Ole Miss I am pissed off. You get Wisconsin first round, you just won your conference tournament, had a decent year and you draw one of the hottest teams in the country on opening round!? And then IF you survive that, you get K-State!??!?!? WOWW

Ole Miss was going to be my sleeper pick too, I was expecting them to go real deep in the tourney, this throws everything off.

Oregon gets screwed as well. Win the Pac-12 tournament and get a 12th seed. WTF.

I thought Oregon and Oklahoma State would be my sleeper teams this year. Not even kidding.

All done with my bracket. I'm going rogue against common bracket thought. I've got all 1 seeds in the Final 4, mostly chalk match ups, zero 5-12 upsets, and just two or three upsets period.

Here's mine. I have watched 2 games so far this year. This is probably terrible.

FINALLY finished my bracket...damn that was tough. Only ONE #1 seed made my final 4. Rest were #2's.

the bracket is messed this year. The second round if filled with potential upsets.

KU/UNC!?! There is a great chance #1 falls there.

Also a Duke/Creighton game could be good.

IMO, Ohio State has the easiest road to the fiNal 4.

But Middle Tenn. and St. Mary's are 11 seeds. That means there are 18 teams (12 thru 15 in all four regions and 2 # 16's) that are seeded below them. Why are they in the play in rather than the other 2 16th seeded teams. It appears to have nothing to do with being a conference champ as Liberty won it conference.

True none of these teams have a chance but it is a big deal to the teams and schools involved.

Can anyone explain?

Liberty and NC A&T and JMU - LIU-Brooklyn are in play in games because they were the worst teams that won their conference tournament. Boise State, LaSalle, St. Mary's and Middle Tennessee State were the worst of the teams that didn't win their conference.

So, some conference champs have to play in and some at large teams have to play their way in.

My question is not why they are in the play in game, but rather, if they are the worst teams (I don't believe Mid Tenn nor St. Marys' is one of those) but why when they come out of the play in, why are they an 11 seed.
