I was eating at a new restaurant on the beach near Daytona tonight. Wearing my red Nebraska shirt, eating oysters and wings. My bartender was a recent PSU grad. We has been talking about PSU, NU, the Big X, etc; and having a good time.
When it came to pay my bill, he said it was covered. When I asked why, he said that he was destroyed after all the allegations this year; as was his family-all life long PSU fans. Our teams behavior, the pregame prayer, but mostly the Nebraska fans attitudes made him an NU fan for life. He kept thanking me for our sportsmanship. As did his mother- who was there visiting. It made more proud of our team and fans than I'd ever been.
