Miami and Charlotte produced some really good games. Atlanta and Boston did as well.
yeah that was the only series I think I saw almost 2 full games on. I think I saw 1 game on Boston and Cavs.

Last year I saw 80% of the games. This year Im at maybe 15%. I turn on the games and its over by half in most of them.

I will get back to watching the games when Conference finals start.

Yeah it happens. I think this round will produce good games for the most part. OKC/SAS is must see TV. I think Miami and Toronto will play a lot of close games. I also think we'll see Atlanta & Portland play good at home over the weekend.

Agree with all of the above. With games 3&4 around the corner... we are hitting the sweet spot of the 2nd round.

I'm on the record saying Atlanta isn't doing anything at home. They're lucky that they won't have to fly back to Cleveland. I can agree with Portland though, they'll play GSW close, probably get one at home.

They may not win but I expect two close games

On Dwyane Wade, national anthems and paying Canada some respect

doesnt surprise me at all

In between saying he's "always sensitive to anything" and "I'm not thinking about nothing like that" in consecutive sentences, then referring to himself in the third person before saying one disrespectful act does not a disrespectful man make, telling everyone they saw something different than him shooting during the national anthem and prioritizing an arbitrary ritual over "O Canada," I did not see an apology.

This country has become full of pussies. This has been discussed for 2 days now and everyone is "outraged" by it. It's in the rules that he wasn't supposed to shoot during the anthem, but quite honestly, I don't give a fuck.

If this was Thompson doing this, you would've commended his work ethic.

I see it more as him rebelling against the league rules. How difficult would it have been to just stop shooting until they were finished? If there's no order then the inmates will begin to run asylum.

actually....i agree with 90% of your post

more than anything i think the reply was ridiculous. Both referring to yourself in the 3rd person and making the excuse that it was your "routine" is pretty sorry....if he said- ya- my bad- it wasnt smart and i wont do it again--- id have never posted that

the ego in that response is hilarious though...should i refer to myself as Wiggyruss from now on? ...always sensitive- didnt think about it...i mean, this is some hardcore bullshit, lol...

Wiggyruss thinks Tristan Thompson is better than Hassan Whiteside, lol.

Honestly, I agree with this post. I think his ego gets waaaaaay ahead of him a lot of the time. It used to be really bad when LBJ was there with him.

I love how the idiots on here assume nonsense as always. All you have to read is the first paragraph of that link I posted to understand that neither team were prepared for the anthem

MIAMI—Okay, so, Dwyane Wade and the anthem thing. You heard about the anthem thing? Before Game 3 of the first second-round NBA playoff series in 15 years to include Toronto, the girl with the 27-year-old voice started O Canada kind of out of nowhere, and the teams scrambled to line up, and Wade was in the middle of this routine he does. He makes a short shot, then a jumper. He has to make it. Well, he missed, and missed again, and missed again, and we were into the part about all thy sons command when Wade, finally, joined the line

Apparently they started the anthem at a different part of the clock than usual, and Wade was a slave to his routine, though he never did make the shot. He said they will adjust their pre-game routine for Game 4, and the NBA declined to suspend him, because it’s not like he was making a political statement. It could have gone better, but it’s not the worst.

Look, I love the anthem. I love our country. But Toronto native Cory Joseph doesn’t know all the words to The Star-Spangled Banner, while we’re on the subject. National anthems before pro sporting events are kind of silly anyway. Just play Thunderstruck by AC/DC, or something like that, and off you go.

So what if the time was different. Why was it hard for him to stop what he was doing once they started to sing? Any decent person wouldn't have found that to be a problem. There's something called common courtesy. Something a lot of people lack these days.

He didn't get defensive. He stated the obvious. Wade been in the league what? 13 or 14 years now? I think if he wanted to disrespect their national anthem in Canada, this would have done a very long ago. Anyone who thinks what he did was on purpose is very stupid to say the least

You clearly don't understand players and their pre-game routine. There are certain things they must do before finishing their pre-game routine. Players are very superstitious. For Wade he must make 2 shots in a row. His routine did not start 2 weeks ago. It's something that he's probably been doing since HS or College

And he finished his shoot around, right? Did that help them win the game? No.
You clearly don't understand that there are things bigger than basketball. One day you will learn the only constant in life is change.
