SFNL
is a little bit warmer
congrats to the Senators... hell of a game, hell of a series
Thanks (as if I'm the one playing)... You guys really had me worried. LeClaire had that look for awhile.
Yeah, good luck to you guys!! I haven't decided who I'm going to cheer for yet though.
But if there's anything this proved to me is that some things never change...
You play 2 great periods and then play the third period differently then the previous 2. Typical Sens playoff hockey, right Forty?
Gotta keep that accelerator down, Urk.
Not to take anything away from the Pens. They played that third pretty much perfectly.
tough series to swallow, good Sens fans, after playing and rooting your hearts out the way you did. I was certainly worried, and I still am for the next round...

True that, I can't think of anything worse than being a Flyers fan. :p
Next time, don't leave that net so wide open!
LOL @ Philthy already knowing that w/ the Pens alive their chances are 0%
When this season started, there was a ridiculous amount of turmoil, and I expected them to be fighting to make the playoffs and expected a .500 season.
Finishing fifth and giving the defending champs fits in three games of a six game series is something to be proud of.
The odd thing is; I really like the makeup of this team. It seems like a broken record that we say the Sens need to get some grit and heart. To face some adversity and react in a positive manner. They did that in this series. 10 fold. With three key components out, they showed depth no one really expected.
Number 1 priority is keeping Volchenkov. Him and Phillips are one of the best shut down pairings ever. If Murray blows that, all of this was for naught.
They also should keep Leclaire. The big question when they dealt for him was "How would he react in the playoffs?". Ummm... answered. It wasn't so much that he played big. It's that he played calm. Cullen and Sutton have to stay too.
Subtractions: Campoli. I think he's just standing in Lee's way. And Ruutu. I'd rather see another Shean Donovan type, but with functioning knees. Mike Grier, perhaps. Or (dare I dream) Daymond Langkow.
They should add a role model for Spezza, someone who can motivate him. The guy is so fucking close to being a superstar it's ridiculous. This doesn't have to come from the ice, either. Hire Joe Sakic or Steve Yzerman. Scott Stevens. Ray Bourque. Call them a consultant. Call them caterer. I don't care what you call them.
Yea were really scared. Get by Boston or Buffalo first then we'll talk. And it's Philly to you Bitch!
