I have lived in both Washington and Oregon for many years and they both have great pot if you have a decent source. No problem to get in either state.

Quit acting like Oregon is so far ahead of the game. They are not any different than most of the west coast. Washington has been decriminalized for years and I am sure that all of the other decriminalized and medically approved states are all about the same.

I am just saying there is a reason this state has voted it down multiple times.

Just like if you go to Arcata in Humboldt County you see support to not legalize marijuana from the stoniest county in North America. There is a reason.

The legalization can work both ways. Good and bad. I prefer to keep it like we have it here n Oregon.

Like in CO the feds can and have raided dispensaries because it is still a Federal crime. You don't see a med care giver (legal grower) here in Oregon getting raided by feds as long as you aren't a complete moron growing to many plants and flaunting it.

like I said. Our state did it the right way years ago. It is very easy to be a legal smoker in this state and not too difficult to be a legal medical marijuana grower.

If we vote for "legal" marijuana in NOV the way CO and WA did many people are going to be pissed off. Because Oregon has already done this the right way without the State Government's involvement. (dispensaries)

I know how it works much better than you do my friend. You go to a Medical Marijuana Center here in this state. Pay for your card with a med excuse.... Sore Back, lack of appetite, whatever.... Pay your fee which is small, then you have a card. You can possess a good amount legally.

The prices are around $20 an eighth here for the best mj known to man. Purchased from licensed growers.

These dispensaries in CO are an absolute joke with the prices and State regulations.

I can go out an smoke in my state legally just as I can in Washington or Colorado. In this state, if you want a card, you can get one and smoke the best for cheap.

They do the same here. In fact, if you go into a dispensary, they still separate med MJ from rec MJ. Prices are different between the 2 (from what i understand). I'm prob out of touch, however; I had to give up the hooch a long time ago due to my occupation as a Federal Agent. :L

No, the NFL has not changed its rules about substance abuse.
Companies can still drug test as far as medical MJ, the supreme court said those companies can fire you.
Its going to be a grey area in WA and CO. I am willing to bet that until it is legal nationwide, or at least at the federal level, if you got a job you like, maybe you should not smoke it.

Companies can designate their own policies. Just because Wash legalized weed doesn't mean I could smoke it during the hours I spend at the office in our consulting company. Just because I'm licensed to carry a concealed weapon doesn't mean I can bring it in the building where I work.

I don't live in Washington anymore, but I do work with a company in the Redmond area. They recently wrote up one of their employees due to a failed drug test for MJ. He threatened to sue them because it was legal but then dropped it.

He still had a job because it was only a first offense and he could have done the follow up route but instead he quit and went elsewhere.

At this point I can't see anyone winning a lawsuit against work as it is still a federal law but I could see this becoming a real issue some years from now.

They are also scrambling around trying to find a valid drug test for driving while under the influence of MJ. They state in Washington that they will error on the side of caution and bust you if it is questionable but their current testing methods are unreliable when it comes to proving that someone is actually still influenced at a specific point in time.

They need to have some reliable data on what actually constitutes impaired after smoking and whomever can come up with a reliable drug test based on this will make a fucking ton of money.

Ok, but tell me how pissed you would be if you were fired Monday because you carried your weapon on Saturday when you didn't work.

If we were to eliminate random drug screening, it would cease to be an issue.

I cannot hire 13 year olds to work 40 hour shifts, I cannot pay less than minimum wage to my employees. Sure, it's my company but there are restrictions on what I can and cannot do so how come I can suspend my employee's 4th amendments rights and take their bodily fluids to determine IF there's some problem?

As a means of investigating errant conduct, sure, that's analogous to a search warrant. If an employee crashes company vehicles and calls out sick a bunch, then human resources would be justified in administering a test.

Random screening is a lazy replacement for an effective administrative structure.

Crank a '77 Playin' in the Band, crack open an icy cold import, and offer them a fatty veggie wrap!

The company I used to work for would drug test every potential new hire. Any other drug testing was limited to anyone who had an accident of any kind. Something like dropping a load from a forklift would get you tested.

I refrained from any drugs or alcohol till I was retired. Its just not worth giving up a good job for a buzz.
The one thing I did see a lot because of the aging work force was the use of pain killers. Amazing how fast people can get addicted to those and only recently has the medical profession realized the error of prescribing them for any kind of pain. When I tore my knee, I had people asking me if I had any extra's.

I had to say no cause giving meds to someone will get you fired in a heartbeat.

And yet one of those teams didnt even act like they were even the second best team. I think its too much of a coincidence that these teams went...........it was fixed. I think Indy will win in Denver next year and had they got by NE may have actually had a shot to win.
