I dont remember us used to have to do that. We usually found lower level FBS teams to play.

Those teams are asking for more monies these days.

True. And once the B1G gets to 9 games it will be one less team we have to pay to come to Lincoln

I could be wrong, but if I was a coach seriously interested in winning a title, this would be true. Whether the AD feels the same way might be debatable though. It is true that Coach Osborne did say they'd put discussions on hold with a future series with OU until the 9 game conference schedule thing shook out.

That would make a really tough schedule if we had to play 9 Big 10 games and then play Oklahoma OOC every year. Would be really hard to go through that and make title game.
