LOL @ how tweets have the power to mess all sorts of shit up..........simply because one person hears or reads something and then makes a bunch of assumptions.

Let's examine this...........first off, what did his tweet say? "Bo Pelini going off on and threatening Bubba Starling is great news for the Royals."

Instantly everyone reads that and thinks that Bo Pelini OBVIOUSLY told Bubba that if he doesn't choose the Huskers than he's gonna get killed.

But seriously.........just because Bubba hasn't made his final decision yet, doesn't mean that Bo can't use a little disciplinary action towards the kid. Let's assume for a second that Bo really did rip out Bubba.................Ok......big deal. He's working out with the Huskers, right? Until he says otherwise, he is Bo's property, and Bo can rip him out.

So I guess the point I'm making is, maybe Bo ripped the kid out for doing something this past weekend that he didn't like..........how the hell do we know? I think he has the right to be able to do that, beings that he is enrolled at UNL right now and is working out under Bo.

I personally guarantee you that Bo Pelini didn't go and threaten Bubba if he doesn't choose Nebraska. What a bunch of dumbshit people that we must have living in this country to immediately make such an assumption.

Nobody knows how to read between the lines when it comes to any form of media............it's simple, and it's the #1 rule when it comes to the media.

Reading between the lines means reading what the asshole has to say, and then subtracting the garbage to come up with the actual story. Instead of subtracting from the story, dumbass Americans like to add to it........and that's why we come up with all these bogus rumors that we have.

Seriously irresponsible by Peter Gammons if all this is untrue... Callahan just spoke with Pelini. Says reports are absolutely not true.

Beck - "We want to continue to improve our fundamentals and become a more physical football team. We want to be accountable, on and off the field. If we build good young men who play hard and care about each other, their coaches and the program, the winning will take care of itself."

Spot on, coach. Forget about the flashy shit........forget about whether or not these kids come from Hollywood or Redneckville, NE............just get them to become brothers, in every aspect. That is what Tom Osborne's teams did so well.

When you get a team of guys who play for each other, and then mix that with good coaching..........well you have yourself one hell of a winning recipe. It took me some time to understand that myself. But that is a part of maturing I think.........understanding that a kid can walk on to Nebraska and end up giving just as much to the team as some bluechip kid from California that turned down offers from all the top schools in the nation.

Think back to Clownahan and how he put together the #1 recruiting class in the nation that one year..........sure did him a lot of good, huh? He had a group of individuals...........he did not have a team.

College football is all about playing with passion, and wanting to win more than wanting to be the one guy in the spot light.

i just watched a tim beck interview from today...it seems that all the coaches get incredibly aggravated when bubba is brought up. maybe he has already informed them of his likely choice, against their wishes? or maybe the are just sick of hearing about him, but whatever, just an observation

Yea it is just a major distraction for the team in general. Here is an 18 year old kid that everyone is making out to be a super hero and he's not even officially on the team yet. The coaches try to instill this idea of being a family to all of the players, and here this one kid stands out above the rest of the entire team without even taking a single snap as a Husker.

More than anything I'm sure the coaches are just sick of the media trying to make it into a bigger deal than it really should be. To the coaching staff, he's just another possible player........but to Husker nation, he is the second coming of Christ. So the media just has to blow it out of proportion......it's just too easy for them to get attention from the fanbase.

am i the only one who doesn't think he is going to be the next crouch? if im not mistaken turner and starling were rated relatively close, and yet no one seems to analyze every period, comma, and exclamation point in a story about turner. idk i just don't see anything super special about bubba

and don't take that as me saying he isn't a great athlete. i think he is an amazing incredible athlete, i just don't see him as the savior of husker football, which is the vibe i get from a lot of fans
