tOfficial 2018 MLB Avi Bets Thread

I assume our annual bet is still a go for 2018, @SlinkyRedfoot .

For those unaware:

I have the Braves
Slinky has the Indians

If both teams fail to make the playoffs, the team that finishes with the best record determines the bet winner. Otherwise, the winner is determined by which team advances the farthest in the playoffs(if both teams are knocked out of the playoffs at the same time, regular season record is the tiebreaker).

Loser wears an avatar of the winner's choosing for a month.

One of these years, this bet will look better for me.

Speaking of old Chewy -- HOLY SHIT that the Braves (with help from the Mets and Nats) have made this bet interesting this year!

According to B-P.com, the Braves have an 80.1% chance to make the playoffs, and a 9.5% shot at winning the World Series.

I brought my laptop to the job site yesterday so I could stream the game while I framed a rather intricate soffit in a basement project I have going. When the Sox put up 6 runs my mind started running wild for a few minutes, but I realized I was losing my focus and I can't do shit with photoshop so I said fuck it and go back to work.

I turned on the game on my iPad just as it was starting and I thought to myself, you're going to jinx this by watching it at the office. Son of a bitch.

The Red Sox have been running away with the best record in MLB for so long I stopped paying attention to anything but their games. No standings, no individual stats or any of that BS.

Now that football has started and hockey is just about to start it's going to get even worser
