Im actually worried about Julio. I dont think his style is meant for Suntrust Park. IMO he gets a lot of Flyouts and at Turner Field that works fine, at the new park they end up in the seats.

I'm not too worried about him. He went through a stretch where he was walking a shit ton of players. Julio usually has pretty good control, and if he's healthy, I have full confidence he'll get it turned around. He looked pretty good in his last start

I agree. Been thinking the same. Sun Trust is a hitters' park (or so it appears). Hell, it hasn't even gotten hot down there yet. The balls will really fly..

I am having a hard time giving up on Colon, as he has conquered Father Time for so long. Looks like he may be at the end of the line, but it also wouldn't surprise me to turn it around, at least somewhat. As you said, he looked better the other night. If he picks it up a little he should be traded to the Mets for anything we can get. It would make a nice story in NY too. The return of Bart!

I hope he can turn it around, but I just have my doubts. When you're a soft tosser that loses his control and movement, it's not a good recipe.

Tim Hudson is his prime would have been a great pitcher for Suntrust.

But old Fulton County Stadium was known as the launching pad, and it didn't seem to bother Maddux, Glavine, Smoltz and Avery.

The value for Julio may never be higher than it will be soon. He would likely command a great haul. Team friendly contract with several years of control left. Of course, that fact may be the reason to keep him. He has been very good and pitchers of his success are not easy to come by...especially reasonably cheaply.

Interesting questions for the Braves to consider.

I like Julio, but if the price is right I wouldn't mind trading him.

It is only the fly-ball component of his game that is a bit worrisome. Many balls that were outs at Turner will be homers at STrust.

If they are occasional solo shots, there is no problem. Smoltz was like that a bit (as a starter).

Agreed. In the past I've leaned toward keeping him. For me, it mostly depends on how the young guns are progressing in the minors. If we are lucky a couple will be as good as Julio or a bit better, but.. we already have Julio. If the Braves were blown away with a Shelby Miller-type trade, it would be hard to turn down. Would be great to collect some potential big bats in the minors (or a bad ass (young) starting 3b would be cool too. Not sure who that would be..

I actually like Dickey. Garcia pitches good for a few innings, but then just hits a wall where he can't find the strikezone.

I've about given up on Colon, even though he was actually serviceable last night.

Agreed. Dickey has been better than I expected but Colon needs to be cleansed

New banner looks great to guys. First time I've noticed it.
Just noticed Glavine didn't make the cut. An original Brave. Won the biggest game in Atlanta Braves history.

I'll take the blame for that. I gave WEV the list of names. Though, I don't think Glavine was on the old banner either, and I traded Niekro for Mathews.

Thought Mathews was important as he is the only player to play for the Braves in all 3 cities.

Why are we playing the Blue Jays?? I thought the Red Sox were our AL rivals.
