Nice play by Phillips to save the game for now. Vizcaino should probably let him fuck his wife.

I think that technically counts as a sweep.

Keep rolling boys.

We also luck out a bit with Teheran facing the Blue Jays on Thursday. That means he doesn't have to face Bryce Harper over the weekend.

If we can just avoid the Sweep vs the gNats I will be happy.

Absolutely.

Teams like the Nats that can hit just as good as we can, but can pitch a hell of a lot better are gonna be tough outs for us this season.

Technically it counts as a 2 game series and we start a new series tomorrow.

Im saying Bartolo will be gone and Sims will be in the MLB before the All-Star break so hopefully it will help our pitching.

Can't really rely on rookies, but if we're gonna have a pitcher get shelled every 5 games, I'd rather it be a rookie than a 43 year old.

I think it was Tom Glavine that said "Losing 17 games in my rookie season was more beneficial than winning 15 in AAA would have been."

Kemp signing still looking good. Better than I thought actually... He and Freddy are a potent 3-4 punch.

I look forward to seeing a couple of our pitching studs later this summer. Hoping to get 1990-like experience for a 2 or 3 of these top prospects. Garcia, Dickey (maybe Colon) could all be traded later this summer if they aren't sucking ass.

Yeah, Glavine and Smoltz were both awful at the beginning. But look at Folty, he struggled his first 2 years and finally looks to be coming around this year. Id rather Sims or Wisler in their over Colon.

Colon and Dickey here just to eat innings until young guys are ready to get some experience. I think that time will be here by July. Simms for sure...not high on Wisler, but maybe he will improve after taking a lot of lumps in the Show. Not sure Newcombe will be ready in July. Probably not, too inconsistent.

I actually like Dickey. Garcia pitches good for a few innings, but then just hits a wall where he can't find the strikezone.

I've about given up on Colon, even though he was actually serviceable last night.

Im actually worried about Julio. I dont think his style is meant for Suntrust Park. IMO he gets a lot of Flyouts and at Turner Field that works fine, at the new park they end up in the seats.

I am having a hard time giving up on Colon, as he has conquered Father Time for so long. Looks like he may be at the end of the line, but it also wouldn't surprise me to turn it around, at least somewhat. As you said, he looked better the other night. If he picks it up a little he should be traded to the Mets for anything we can get. It would make a nice story in NY too. The return of Bart!
