Freeman's on base streak ended at 12. I'm a glutton for punishment, I can't turn the game off.

But like I said before the series, I'd be happy to just avoid the sweep. We're an improved team, but we're not on Washington's level yet.

I dozed off when it was 7-3.

God damn, the final was 14-4.

One of these days we will turn it around against the Nats, but for now they still own us.

Sucks we had to play them right after a 5 game win streak.

I say we go head hunting tonight. If we can't win the game, maybe we can win the brawl.

Until Dansby gets it going, might be time to bat Brandon Phillips second and drop Dansby down in the lineup for a little while. Phillips is at least getting on base.

Matt Kemp activated today, and Aaron Blair was called up as well.

Johan Comargo and Luke Jackson headed down to Gwinnett.

We'll be seeing Jackson back shortly IMO. He was roughed up last night, but prior to that, he was pretty solid.

And it was hot and humid today in Augusta, hopefully it's that way in Smyrna tonight. Strasburg has struggled with heat and humidity in his career, but so has Dickey. Maybe we'll see a slugfest.

I have no idea. Last year we sent Garcia down to Gwinnett for a couple of weeks and he came back the the Majors guns a blazing. Give Rio Ruiz a couple weeks with the big club and try that out again.

Garcia is 6 for 13 in his career against Strasburg with all 6 hits singles. So he's hit him pretty well.

Nice job. Glad to see the pitcher understands how to shorten up and put the ball in play when the catcher can't make contact.

Still, bases loaded with no out and only coming away with 1 run leaves a lot to be desired.
