How has that shift worked out against Harper? Two doubles to left that the infielders would have had a good shot at had they been in their normal positions.

Well, that was probably ball game. Inciarte or Swanson had to reach to give Freeman a chance to tie, but none could take advantage of 3 ball counts, and Freeman will lead off the 9th.

Can't win em all.

And we are still a couple steps bellow Washington.

Maybe we can take advantage of a pitching matchup that favors us tomorrow.

He had MVP type number last year despite a horrible first two months of the season. He does that for a full season this year, Rizzo and Goldschmidt can eat a dick, because Freddie Freeman will be the best first baseman in the bigs.

I kind of hope Ryan Howard is a part of the big league club soon rather than later as the first pinch hitter. We literally have no power coming off the bench. Really, all of our bench players are really only fit for late game defensive substitutions. With a healthy lineup, Jace Peterson is the only bench option I don't count as an automatic out.
