supposedly 1 minor leaguer coming back.

Getting anything for him (as he wasn't going to be resigned) is good.

Looks like Blair will start Friday (unless another trade is made).

Gotta admit. After his performance last year, I wasn't worried at all about Dansby coming into this season. Obviously, he struggles against breaking balls (esp sliders). That is all he will see until he proves to the league he can hit them.

Not playing AAA shouldn't affect his ability to field ground balls. He has been one of the worst SS in the league this year defensively.

Swanson only spent about one month less than Benintendi did, but Swanson didn't exactly dominate in AA. He batted .261/.342/.402 (117 wRC+), which is nice for a shortstop but nothing special, especially for a guy with his prospect pedigree. Not to mention Swanson wasn't exactly lighting the world on fire at the time of his promotion (.256/.373/.326 in August in AA). Benintendi hit .295/.357/.515 (138 wRC+) in AA, and that was with a slow start. From May 24 to July 31, he batted .312/.374/.546 (152 wRC+) with 23 walks to only 24 strikeouts.

I'm sure he'll be fine though.
