Literally everytime he GOES out he makes shit interesting. You are the only Braves fan that still likes him and wants him as closer. He is awful.

His first half numbers this season and last season are pretty comparable, but throughout his career, he has been much better in the second half in the first half, and he was dominant in the second half last season.

And I don't think he's a top line closer, but I firmly believe he's the best option we have at closer at the moment. You keep saying Motte, but Motte hasn't sniffed a closer's role in 5 years, and he lost that role for a reason.

And according your own words, that run today wouldn't have happened if the home plate umpire wasn't retarded.

Suzuki gets the game ball today obviously for his two homers, but Inciarte saved the game with that sliding catch.

And Yadier Molina got the All Star nod over Tyler Flowers due to pure name recognition.

Flowers is beating him pretty much across the board, and is rated as the best pitch framer in the NL.

The first walk was the only one that crossed the plate. One walk was intentional.

And keep in mind this was his third consecutive game, and he was getting squeezed which probably resulted in the pitch having more of the plate than he wanted knowing he wasn't getting the corners.

He had been on a good run lately, and given his career trends for the second half, I'll give him a pass for tonight given the circumstances and the fact that we still won the game.

Holy shit, quicker than even the most optimistic projections for his return.

Hopefully he's 100% and not rushing back. He had wrist problems in 2015 that really hampered him at the plate.

I'd be happy to go 10-9 in that stretch and be .500 overall and still be in position to make a run when the schedules eases up a bit.
