They'd be getting back a $10 mill contract they can dump right away... and a starting caliber forward... all while dumping a $25 mill contract. It could save them tens of millions in luxury tax.
No Cavs fan should ever get into a battle of who's team is successful and who's isn't, for obvious reasons.
But Cavs fans just shouldn't care, either. Maybe down the road the Cavs can have aspirations of being a great franchise... but for right now its really just about 1 title.
Last year they failed to do that... but it was a great step in that direction and the most successful team in franchise history. There's plenty of reasons for optimism going forward.
Who cares if a couple of fans from teams with 3+ titles want to make fun of us for being happy about what the team accomplished last year. Fuck them.
Lakers did a good job with Williams for only 7 mill for 3 years. That was a steal for 6th man of the year. Main question can he be a starter?
Really Gordon?
Let's rehash..
I point out that Kyrie was injured in the Finals which lead to a Cavs fans proudly stating 'call me when you get back' which lead me to point out to him that the Cavs have never really 'been there'...
That lead to all the other FACTUAL posts about the Cavs history.
So who started it?
But Fuck Me?
I'm all for smack talk but at least make it good smack talk based on fact.
No that wasn't directed at you. If anything I was siding with you... by saying its not a good idea for any Cavs fans to get into a battle of whose team is more successful with any other team. (Especially a team like the Heat)
The "fuck them" comment was about the whole "they are happy with losing in the Finals" comments and was more directed at the general sentiment, rather than specific posters ( think bk was the one posting about that).
Bottom line... I understand fans of Lakers, Heat, Spurs, etc... laughing about how happy Cavs fans are with the current state of things... but Cavs fans just shoudn't care. I don't care. That is where the Cavs franchise is at. The bottom.
I will be happy about what the team last year accomplished and I will be optimistic about how things look next year. It might be a low standard for other franchises... but I don't care... this is the Cavs standard right now. One title will mean SO MUCH MORE than the most recent title by the Spurs, or Lakers, or Heat.
Didn't mean the "fuck them" comment to come off as personally directed at anyone.
In regards to the bolded statement, as a Lakers fan I just have to disagree. Each title means A LOT if for no other reason than the hard work it took to get it. As a Laker fan watching the 3peat with Shaq & Kobe and the back to back wins with Kobe & Pau is something Cavs fans probably just won't ever experience and therefore may find it hard to understand the feelings of excitement by the teams' fans.
When you put it that way it makes sense.Fair enough... and for the record... I'm not claiming to be a "Cavs fan" in the true sense of the word. Most people on here know I'm a Cavs fan by extension of being a LeBron fan.
I can only image what it would mean to the Cavs fans who have been die-hard loyal Cavs fans for decades.
I'm not trying to diminish or take away anything from anyone's title. Each title involves new people and takes an incredible amount of hard work and excellence. I get that.
I just think that to the Cavs Fans. Finally experiencing a title in Cleveland - after all the disappointments - will be a different kind of feeling than what your typical fanbase experiences winning a title.
Hahaha now this is funny coming from a person who first off only became a Cavs fan again because LBJ decided to go home. I guess it was a coincidence you no longer rep Westbrook & OKC the season they don't even make the playoffs.oh how the mighty have fallen if Lou Williams and Brandon Bass are being hailed as good gets.
Combined with getting Hibbert - all those player acquisitions are going to do is make sure you dont keep your pick next year- as there is no way the Lakers will even sniff the playoffs with their current roster...I mean, seriously- the Lakers probably have the worst team in the West right now for next season right? I am not trying to be a dick- just state the obvious
I mean for next season- the Kings are better, the Jazz are better, the Suns are better right? Am I missing a team?
Nah Kings have the worse.oh how the mighty have fallen if Lou Williams and Brandon Bass are being hailed as good gets.

Second, your team isn't a winner....if I do recall correctly they LOST in the finals which makes them losers just like the other 29 teams in the league. And having said that, your team hasn't improved one lick since they lost in June so you might want to hold on to any "advice" you think you have for any other franchises.

Wiggins, Parker, Embiid were by FAR the 3 best in last draft- no one had randle in the top 3- let alone the top 2- which would have been insane with wiggins and parker there.
