They are far from done in this FA. If they get some depth they will have more depth than the Spurs. Not sure what players are staying for the Spurs but we will have to wait and see. As far as starting lineups go, Spurs have an edge but who guards Love out of their starters. Matchups are interesting.

What does "far from done" mean? Your (Cavs) salary cap is maxed out at this juncture, and you still have to sign Lebron who will get a max deal as well. You have no room to sign other free agents, except for the veterans minimum. You may get one or two vets (similar to Marion and Miller last season) who will play for a discount. But with the way Blatt was with his rotations, you could see how committed he was to those players.

Exactly. The only thing Cavs fans can hope for is getting a quality player for Haywood contract. Outside of that they're very limited in what they can do

We already know the starters are strong, bench has always been a issue. The bigs depth is looking good but a backup for Kyrie and Lebron are keys. Injuries could be a problem, so strong depth is a huge key. So yes, far from done

West or Mo would be huge for the depth. West is definitely not a MLE guy and Mo is a pretty good backup PG. People might not look at that as a huge pickup but it is for what we have seen last year.

Hey, Laker fans, what's your opinion on Wesley Johnson? Read on PeachTreeHoops that the Hawks are pursuing him to fill our hole at SF.

Good defender, but horrible offensive player. Makes bad decisions on his shot selection.

Good player for 18-20mpg off the bench imo.

I don't see West signing with Cleveland, given the aforementioned log jam at the 4 with Love and Thompson. I said it before, he'll go to San Antonio as Duncan and Aldridge will likely have to rotate out at the 5 from time to time.

Signing West would be stupid for obvious reasons. Why do you need a 3rd PF on your roster when you already have Love and Tristan? That would be a waste of money IMO. Mo would be a solid pickup but West would be very dumb

San Antonio makes the most sense. SAS doesn't have much depth at the 4/5 after Duncan and LA because Splitter and Baynes are gone. He would get 20-25 MPG as the backup 4 in San Antonio

*nonsense

Yeah, that's what I thought. The facts are the Cavs have done what they needed to do, establish a young core. Overpay? Yes, but those guys would have made their money and more elsewhere. They got bargains for Kyrie and Love actually. Get a couple more role players and they looking just fine. I might be a homer sometimes, but I look at the facts.
GS hasnt improved at all, yet other teams are improving. It would be hard to repeat what they did last year.

you mean your great find of a PG who hasn't made it through a single season yet? and yeah, THAT'S a fact...

The Hawks love them some former Lakers. They added Kent Bazemore last summer.

Not as much as they like Jazz players. Last season, we had three former Jazz players (Millsap, Korver, and Carroll).

I hadn't realized he was a free agent. How come no contenders talked to this guy? I would think a lot of teams would love to have the Sixth Man of the Year on their team.

Because nobody wants to overpay for a bench scorer.

No clue. He's regained most his form after his injury and could have helped lots of contending teams. Maybe he wants to compete for starter minutes?
