SPURS were a horrible nightmare matchup for Golden State beforehand.

No other team has had their number like SA. I think they have won like 35 of the last 36 games in SA or something. It is a complete and utter mental block for GS.

Golden State is a great team, but SA is in their heads.
Not surprising, the SPURS were the only team last season with a winning record versus GS.

Obviously things can change....but the Spurs are the one team that GSW hates to play.
I think the Ws will look for some more bigs now on the cheap, especially if the Spurs get David West.

That's a bit of an exaggerration to say the Spurs were a horrible nightmare matchup for the Warriors. That's true for the seasons before 2014-2015, but not last season. While the Spurs did have a winning record against the Warriors last season, it was 2 games to 1 and not something like 4-0 or 3-1. The Spurs had a lot more to play for in that last regular season matchup than the Warriors did. If they would've met in the playoffs, I think the Warriors would've won. The Warriors just had more in the tank and they play team ball just as well as the Spurs after Steve Kerr made them abandon the iso-ball that they had been playing under Mark Jackson. They had more depth than any other team and it was just their year.

We'll see what happens this year. With the LA pick-up, the Spurs are right there with the Warriors in the West. Both teams are a model for team ball. It should be great fun to watch.

Holy crap, the Spurs are going to be deadly next year, especially if they get West.

Sucks for the Suns to clear up all that cap space.

Talk about having an organization wrapped around your fingers

James' agent Rich Paul has made it known to the Cavs that serious talks on a new deal for James will not take place until a new contract for restricted free agent Tristan Thompson is in place. Paul also represents Thompson. James intends to re-sign with the Cavs, sources said, but is not in a hurry.

Of course he does. He is the GM and head coach, isn't he?

Must be some confusion.
Cavs fans will tell you the main reason he needed to go back to the Cavs was because he was homesick.

Real Talk Now. This is what Gilbert signed up for. No way on earth any other owner would go for this nonsense.
Whatever he brings or adds simply isn't worth it, and especially to billionaires.

It takes a lot of cooperation from the players to allow it to happen.
They deserve all of the winning that they have accomplished because they as a core group have all made team success there #1 priority.

agreed. meaning EVERYONE in the organization reaps the benefits...

Which makes these debates from Cavs fans (specifically Wiggy) on how Gilbert's a better owner than Arison lol worthy.

Elite rim protector. Expiring contract. Shouldn't impact the growth of the youngsters. Will likely get another asset similar to last summer's Jeremy Lin trade.

Not my favorite player, but I have to justify somehow right :noidea:

okay trade at this juncture. Gives you size at center, and I'm not sure how many years are left on his deal. Good if this is his last year.

Yup, expiring contract.

The Lakers will have the best center in Los Angeles
