Shit. They had Holt thrown out, but buttafingahs couldn't field the throw, and now it's an insurmountable lead

I agree that Wong should have made it over Tulo. Tulo is one of, if not the most over-rated player in the game today.

Take a look at his home/away splits. He is NOT a superstar. He is good, but by no means is he a superstar.

he's a .299/.333/.449 hitter on the road this year. His sOPS+ (split relative to league split) is 125, which is quite good. He's a career .276/.348/.467 hitter on the road. He might not be a superstar if he played in a more neutral ballpark, but he's still an all-star/top shortstop.

Tulo's numbers are Colorado numbers.

Completely bogus.
Numbers are numbers. Wong is hitting .280 with no power. and trailing Tulo in nearly every category.Tulo is the better choice. I mean cards fans had Matt freakinAdams leading the 1B voting me for a while. People give them credit for being the most knowledgable fans in the league but at the end of the day they are huge homers that only see red.

AL too good.

Trout would be a MVP lock if he didn't get pulled. Homer and 3 runs would be too tough to pass

I said he was good. You can be good and still over rated.

For example, I do not think he belongs anywhere near the HOF, but I suspect he will make it.

Funny that Wong is only one homer behind Tulo and he plays in Colorado...and 5 RBI behind

If you refuse to acknowledge the Colorado factor, I don't know what to tell you. I guess we just agree to disagree.

I suppose no Colorado player should ever play in the all star game? Why does everyone bring up Colorado factor and not the ridiculous dimensions in Yankee stadium?

I'd be shocked if he makes it. He's already missed a good chunk of playing time and has only 4380 career PA. He turns 31 in October. He's going to have to play pretty well in his 30's to have a good shot.
