Giants are 16-21 in their last 37.
With 2 of our starting OFers on the DL and the other one needing to be on the DL.

I don't know if we will make the post-season this year, but we will be at relative full-strength in about a week / week and a half.

If the Gs make the post season, does anyone want to volunteer to face them?

I would never "volunteer" to face anyone in a 5-7 game series because anything can go wrong. Giants lineup is not bad by any stretch, especially when you consider where they play half their games.

Pitching is the big question mark this year. They have a 1 and 2, but then a bunch of 4s and 5s. If Cain and Peavy can maintain what they have done since coming back from the DL (BIG if), they should be set, and the trades should be focused on getting elite BP help (KRod, Chapman, Paps). If not, than they have no chance this year.

They got 2 high-ceiling SPs on the farm who can step into the rotation next year, though, so the future continues to look bright by the Bay...

Give us another year, and maybe.

I would welcome it.

No need to let anyone else in on the fun. We have been carrying the weight for the NL the last decade or so. Let's keep it that way.

Next year is where the org is REALLY focused, though. This year is just potential gravy.

If we meet again next year, do you think you can take it to six this time?

We should have the pitching next year. Our rotation next year should be:

Darvish
Holland
Lewis
Perez
Chi chi

Bring it.

No Chevy guy?

I would guess the Insurence company didn't allow it. No way they would risk a Heart Attack on National TV again...

Home team has a losing streak in game 7s, if I am not mistaken...

Let me look that up...
Losing streak of one. Cardinals won in 2011, Angels in 2002, Diamondbacks in 2001, Marlins in 1997, Twins in 1991, Twins in 1987, Mets in 1986, Royals in 1985, Cardinals in 1982. So before last year, home teams had won 9 straight Game 7s.
