Will Mattingly ever protect his best hitter? Vogelsong said he was intending to go inside. Mattingly did not protect Han Ram in the NLCS last year and we got trounced. At some point you have to send a message that if you plunk our guy we plunk yours or else we will be dodging bullets for years to come with Han Ram.

Greinke protected our guys last year, but the whole retaliation thing is dumb in my opinion.

It's moronic, I agree. But then why is Han Ram getting plunked on the reg?

He was not trying to injure Ramirez. Beanball wars are dumb.

Nice to be back in the Win column and beat the Giants. The Giants made some mistakes today not catching up to some balls and failing to drive in runners in scoring position.

The injury to Belt made an impact today as the Giants went with Posey at first base and Sanchez, a below average defender, at catcher. Dee Gordon ran wild today and Sanchez let a couple of balls get by him.

It wasn't pretty, but the Dodgers came up with some hits, played decent defense, and got enough pitching from Greinke and Company to win.

Funny how the momentum can suddenly shift.

Another outstanding performance by Kershaw tonight. Am hoping Haren steps it up tomorrow.

Dodgers lost, but at least they didn't give up and battled back.

Will Dan Haren's inconsistency prompt the Dodgers to seriously consider a trade for David Price? I think if the Dodgers had Price they'd make the WS, but I hate to think what the Dodgers would have to give up to get him.

It will be interesting to see how things turn out.

Hard to disagree with that, I think Joc Pederson should be off limits.
