I like your beard.
Never gonna be another like Manning. And I don't think his record will ever be broken, not close. I also think he'll crack 600.

I really miss defense in the NFL. It would be nice if somebody could actually hit the Mannings, but they TURTLE whenever a defender comes near them. Thursday is going to be a long night, especially with all the injuries the Chargers have in the secondary. Peyton might not have to play in the 2nd half. UUGGHH!!
oh boy
Russell Wilson isn?t ?Black Enough,? Seahawks Players Allegedly Say | The Big Lead
Russell Wilson keeps tight circle in wake of Seattle Seahawks' Super Bowl - NFL - SI.com

I'm all for protecting QBs, I really am, but the league takes a zero tolerence policy on the matter with certain QBs. Not even tinfoil-hatting when I say certain guys get more breaks than others. The big guys that are tough to take down and tend to extend plays (Roethlisberger, Luck, Flacco) tend to not get the same calls as pure pocket passers do (Mannings, Brady, Brees). The stopwatch on ball thrown-defense contact to QB is about half as long for pure passers.
What bothers me the most is the NFL was already an offense friendly league & then the Seahawks kick the crap out of the Broncos & all of a sudden they have to make it even easier for offenses. I call these new rules the Manning Rules. He didn't win the Super Bowl so now the league is trying to make sure he does.
I certainly wouldn't want to be a defensive back these days. There's probalby no more frustrating position to play.
To continue on that Wilson article:
I do actually see where they're coming from if it's not merely "not black enough". There's a certain air of fakeness/insincerity about Wilson. I can't really put a finger on the specifics of that though, but it seems like his life is a large PR trip.
