Never gonna be another like Manning. And I don't think his record will ever be broken, not close. I also think he'll crack 600.

I'm not usually one to complain about a Bills victory, so I won't.

I'll just say that was one ugly-ass football game they played for the first 58 minutes.

Not saying the Seahawks would have pulled it out, but why no official review of that Rams fumble? Sure looked like Seattle recovered that ball to me.

I really miss defense in the NFL. It would be nice if somebody could actually hit the Mannings, but they TURTLE whenever a defender comes near them. Thursday is going to be a long night, especially with all the injuries the Chargers have in the secondary. Peyton might not have to play in the 2nd half. UUGGHH!!

I'm all for protecting QBs, I really am, but the league takes a zero tolerence policy on the matter with certain QBs. Not even tinfoil-hatting when I say certain guys get more breaks than others. The big guys that are tough to take down and tend to extend plays (Roethlisberger, Luck, Flacco) tend to not get the same calls as pure pocket passers do (Mannings, Brady, Brees). The stopwatch on ball thrown-defense contact to QB is about half as long for pure passers.

To continue on that Wilson article:

I do actually see where they're coming from if it's not merely "not black enough". There's a certain air of fakeness/insincerity about Wilson. I can't really put a finger on the specifics of that though, but it seems like his life is a large PR trip.

What bothers me the most is the NFL was already an offense friendly league & then the Seahawks kick the crap out of the Broncos & all of a sudden they have to make it even easier for offenses. I call these new rules the Manning Rules. He didn't win the Super Bowl so now the league is trying to make sure he does.

I certainly wouldn't want to be a defensive back these days. There's probalby no more frustrating position to play.

It's brutal. There were a number of plays this past weekend in which the receiver had no chance to catch the ball yet a penalty was called for holding or pass interference. A lot of people think Notre Dame got a bad call at the end of the Florida St. game. The truth of the matter is all the receiver had to do was put his hands up & run forward & the penalty wouldn't have been called. A little acting on his part would have helped. The Broncos used an official to score yet another TD this past weekend. They're the kings of pick plays.

Are you saying that Russell Wilson doesn't have enough street cred, pix?

and on the deadspin article from yesterday i mentioned above

Yes, It?s OK To Hate Russell Wilson

Im a hawks fan but it hits the nail on the head:

Of course you can. Russell Wilson is either a complete phony or the boringest man on Earth, and both of those are perfectly hatable qualities. He's like a dream athlete for #BRAND marketers. He's attractive. It's fun to watch him play. And he has NOTHING interesting to say, ever. It's like someone took a bunch of Gatorade copy and fertilized a womb with it. I could ask Russell Wilson what he had for breakfast, and he'd either talk about Jesus or doing what it takes to be the best he can be.

i dont know how it is nationally but you turn on a local seattle tv station and damn near seems every second commercial has russell wilson in it

everything with him is sanitized and he gets out in front of every story so he ends up looking good ... his tweets about god just add to the vomit inducing element of it all ... the story about him getting divorced this offseason was spun to make it seem like he made the right call and was THE smartest guy on earth since he doesnt "cash in" with the HUGE contract until next season and is getting out of a relationship without owing anything

... and it gingerly avoided details of why that marriage fell apart

... and then Golden Tate signed with Detroit

/Im not saying ... Im just saying
