The LB's we have recruited don't have the size you look for if you're going to run a 3-4 defense.

I'm not saying they're not good. I think the LB talent we have right now is as good as it's been since Bo has been here.

We also have no idea if Valentine (who is the only one who fits the NT mold) can play.

It's kind of concerning that Kaz is selling the 3-4... I have to assume Bo is of the same opinion.

One of the worst things you can do as a head coach is try and put square pegs in round holes.

I imagine he is just trying to be prepared and flexible. It's not like the guy gets the pick of the litter every time... Especially at DT. Gotta make lemonade.

I don't pretend to know better than Kaz or Bo, I just wonder what their thought process is selling guys on the 3-4 at this point in time.

maybe Bo has created a new defense that blends the 3-4 scheme with 4-3 LBs....????

just spit ballin here...cause it really doesnt make sense to recruit saying a player would be perfect for the 3-4...but then not play a 3-4

Nebraska ever since Pelini has been here has used jumped back and forth with a 4 and 3 man fronts. They've used the 3 man fronts more for nickel and dime packages. Crick was used as a Dend in three man fronts. I would like to see Newell a husker and with his size and ability I can see Nebraska move him back and forth and keep him on the field.

ill be honest with ya i see no need to add any WRs to this class...i would rather go after DBs or DL or OL
