Does it count as an inaugural Big 10 game if it isn't actually a conference game?

Thought about that when I was writing the post.

I don't know if it counts in conference standings (I don't think so), but it is against a recent above average BiG team.

It's just a personal gauge for me.

But will you use it as a gauge in where the program's at in the BiG? That's more of where I was going.

I know it's early in the season, but it's early in the season for Minnesota also.

It is tough to use this as a gauge. Things are not equal for Minnesota and Nebraska. Today is Nebraska's 3rd game of the weekend and it is Minnesota's 4th.

@huskers1217 Nope, this doesn't count as a conference game. Kind of weird, but those are the rules I guess.

Kiser gets a no out double to score one run. Then Pritchard comes up 2 batters later and gets a one out double to score two more for Nebraska.

Nebraska takes a 4-0 lead to the bottom of the 2nd.

It doesn't count as a conference game because it is a tournament and it was scheduled previous to Nebraska being in the conference.

It is a big pitching advantage for Nebraska.

Plus they are in the dome so no one is getting "out door time".

NU doesn't have the luxury of practicing in a game-size dome.
