I was so glad to see Zach Hirsch moved to the Sunday starter. He went 7 full innings. He gave up one run in the first and then shut Illinois out after that. Only have up 3 hits and none after the 4th.

Tyler King is now in for the Big Red.

Nebraska wins game 3 13-3 and wins their first season opening conference series since 2008.

We have Kansas St on Tuesday and then head to Northwestern for a 3 game series next weekend.

These games against K St are huge for Nebraska. Beating a team that plays in a real baseball conference will help our RPI. We need to win all 3 games against K St.
