Nebraska scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 5th, 1 run in the 6th, and then 4 in the 8th to win the game 9-2.

The 4 runs in the 8th were off 2 2 run HRs. One of those HRs was and inside the park HR by Cody Burleson. That is the first inside the park HR since 2004.

So is it too early to tell if our new coach is panning out yet?

I'm no baseball expert, but is there really any team that wins every game? I think your Erstad success scale might be a tad out of balance.

12-6 so far this season, 11-7 last year 18 games in. Not too shabby. April -May it got out of hand last year. I don't know about the quality of opponents comparing Bigs to 12's teams. I guess we'll see.

Quality of opponents from the Big 12 to the Big 10 for Nebraska is like comparing me to Brasky. One has quality and the other has a whiny little bitch of a coach that can't compete nationally so he wants to quit.

No no no, the Big 12 (me) is far superior to the Big 10. If we win a ton of games it won't mean the same thing if we did that in the Big 12.

The baby for a coach that wants to quit reference was the Minnesota head coach who wants the Big 10 to play summer baseball because they can't compete. That had nothing to do with Erstad.
