Lock: South Carolina is going to stuff the box and take away Nebraska's running game. They will challenge Taylor Martinez to throw against them.

Lock II: Just as in the Outback Bowl, expect a low-scoring physical battle.

I like the way Connor Shaw, Kenny Miles and Brandon Wilds have developed this season. I'll take South Carolina in this one.

What a weird feeling this game has to it. I mean anyone who follows college football should know Nebraska will get beat by a TD, right?

But for some reason I feel like we are the favorite..............for some weird reason, I feel like we are the favorite against a team that has enough speed and talent to completely shut our offense down.

Aside from Wisconsin, this will be our greatest test of the year.................and personally, I think South Carolina would beat Wisconsin head-to-head.

We have an opportunity to put a huge exclamation point on a 9 win season that was composed of a few really bad losses.

JJM you are crazy. South carolina is 10-2 without games vs Bama or LSU, Latiimore is out, Shaw is average. The Gamecocks are OK but they are more realistically a 7-5 or 8-4 team if they played a normal schedule.

Depends on who they played ( just like the SEC). South Carolina needed 3 special teams and defensive scores to beat a decent UGA team, they got stomped out by Arkansas and didnt play LSU or Bama. If USCe played the Huskers, Michigan, MSU, Penn State, Iowa and Wisky I think they go 3-3. Their OOC sucked except for Clemson and who knows how good they are?

I think I've made my opinion clear that I would have preferred a match up with Arkansas or Georgia. That said, bowls really are just one game exhibitions that don't give an indication of a programs future performance. They are to be enjoyed for that game and that game only. In situations where one team isn't markedly superior over another, it's said that the team who has more to prove or wants it more usually wins. Following that line of thinking, we should win. I think Bo gets the team up and we feed Rex early and often. Perhaps as many as 35 touches. We win by 3-6.
