Let's wait and see... Our DLine was not very good and Baker was the lone bright spot and there were games he disappeared as well. Surely we are not done revamping this line and while McClain & McGee are not household names, they will be just as effective or more so than what just left. Insert a bonafide starter in the middle with a high draft pick, more Ioanidis & Lanier and we may have something with that group and Tomsula.

I hope I'm wrong. Raiders and Cowboys defense was bad and those two were not the bright spots on either of those teams.

Baker didnt always give good effort either. Both baker and RJF weren't a ything special and why the hell are we crying about a NT to play 15/20 snaps a game ? Plus Lanier could make a decent jump

I was no Baker or RJF fan. Their mouths were twice as big as their game. I'm more puzzled with the plan that was in place to replace them. I just think you had to come away with Logan, Hankins, or Poe. I would have rather seen the Skins take the money they gave to those two guys and dumped it into one of the three I just mention. Then we could go draft a 34 DE, which this draft is full of all throughout rounds 1 and 2.

Not panicing. Just confused as to the approach. Bruce Allen's last draft actually produced Murphy, Moses, Long, and Breeland, so we'll see.

No panic here either. Our DL sucked balls coach. Can't get any worse even with the no name new guys.

Now.... If Foster somehow slipped to us (no f'in way I see it happening), I'd be giddy like a 15 year old in a titty bar. Dude has been compared to Ray Lewis... who is more athletic. He would lock that position down for a decade.

Yeah SM was out of work, they paid him as a scouting service for that draft. They hired him the next off season.

McGee was good for Oakland. He was their best interior linemen and when he was in, they gave up 1 less YPC .

McClain I know less about. I know he started last season on a much improved Dallas defense.

What improved the Cowboys defense was the offense being able to control the ball. This is why I think there is a real good chance we do actually draft some one like Cook at 17. Add a legit 1400-1700 yard every down back, and if the passing game can stay even at 70% of what it did last year, our defense will be better for the simple fact that they wont be on the field as much.

We are still a year or two away from a solid defense even if we do find an NT, and I dont think there is a guy who is a dominant NT at 17.

If Reddick and Cook are both there at #17 when Foster is already of the board, what guy do you think Gruden is going to want? I am a fan of Reddick but I cant see Gruden not taking Cook over Reddick. I would be shocked if Cook gets by the Eagles.

What improved the Cowboys defense more than anything was Sean Lee being healthy for a full year. The guy is one hell of a LBer. Health has always been his issue, even at Penn State. I think another year with Marinelli helped too.

Yeah, last year we were perfectly fine without a legit NT, you idiots!

Well, except for the part where we were histerically bad in run defense... and let backs run in little ballerina outfits past our nice polite defensive linemen.

perhaps you should research how often we played base 3/4 ? then perhaps you will understand why paying big money for one isnt such a great idea
