I agree paying for a guy who only plays NT would be a bad idea.

But the reality is, we need some one who is capable of playing more than just NT. I would give good money for a guy who is a good NT, capable of also playing DT when we go to our sub package.

You just got through saying our NT plays 15-20 plays a game. If you said it as a fact, it must be a fact. Though now that you mention it, I never suggested paying big money for a NT. What I said was we need to get a competent one. And we do. Not only will it improve the NT position, but it'll stop us from moving players who could be effective at DE. But the best idea was to get a D-lineman who can play NT and switch to DT when we go to 43.

Baker didnt always give good effort either. Both baker and RJF weren't a ything special and why the hell are we crying about a NT to play 15/20 snaps a game ? Plus Lanier could make a decent jump

If Reddick and Cook are both there at #17 when Foster is already of the board, what guy do you think Gruden is going to want? I am a fan of Reddick but I cant see Gruden not taking Cook over Reddick. I would be shocked if Cook gets by the Eagles.

Well, except for the part where we were histerically bad in run defense... and let backs run in little ballerina outfits past our nice polite defensive linemen.

If you think NT was the only problem with our run defense we might not be the idiots.

i agree we need a nt damn every mother fricking day skins are dooomed no nose tkle front office dumb we have the worst defense baker all of sudden became skins best dlinman ever etc etc enough is enough

We need improvement from the DL, LBs, and safety positions. You can't accurately judge any single player on those layers because of how ineffective all the layers were. The most obvious was poor tackling and wrong gap hits from the LBs.

Yeah exactly, just like baseball you need to be strong up the middle in football to start to stop the run. Our NT and DTs did not get the job done. The defense last year was a one gap system so it isn't like the NT was supposed to control the entire center of the defensive line. DL, ILBs and S's did not get off of blocks or hit the wrong holes too often for our run defense to be effective.

As much as people are hollering for DL help we need to improve our ILBs too.
