Everyone is speculating that the Redskins still view him as a trade chip. I think it's a mistake to keep him. 4 QBs on the 53 man roster is goofy. Especially when you already have a franchise QB and you already have a top notch backup. Way too much at the QB spot. Only thing that would make it worth it is if they end up getting anything of value out of White in a trade.

So I believe that boils it down to one cut remaining.

Since White is remaining on the team it's probably either going to be Briscoe (either cut or IR) or Pugh.

Keeping White just tells me that by week four, either he or rex will be on the block so we can bring back Jackson and Jenkins.

looking at these cuts i cant get past chase being gambled on ahead of murphy

i cant see keeping white

i see gumbs but not so much pugh

i see keeping 8 o/lineman 4 tes , 5 rbs 5 wrs 4olbs , 4 ilbs and the d/lineman

but some of these are huge headscratchers to the common joe

I think a lot of the head scratcher moves can be chalked up to special teams. The fact that Minnifield doesn't play teams hurt him. And they think they can stash him on the PS for a year because of his injury history and the fact that he hasn't played an NFL game. I guess we will have to see on that front. Other teams had to of been thinking the same thing the Redskins were when he went undrafted. Another team that had him on the radar two years ago is the most likely kind of team to snatch him.

Not sure if it was mentioned, but Briscoe was cut with the injury designation. So if he goes unclaimed he'll automatically be placed on the Skins IR.
