I've never understood the serious mancrush some people have for Chase Minnifield.

The dude's been injured a lot, and has looked good against second and third stringers. Big deal.

If he's signed to the practice squad, then great. If he's picked up by a divisional team, then fine. Who cares? He obviously is not talented enough to beat out Josh "sieve" Wilson, or MeAngelo "whiff" Hall.

I said other night during the game Royster is the 2nd best back on the team. Helu will play more because of his ability to be a pass catching back. K Williams laid an egg in the game he needed to show he wanted to make the team. He did the same thing a couple of years ago. Thompson made the team because Crawford got hurt.

I also mentioned the other night that Murphy had flashed in almost every pre-season game. I like Minnifield but the coaches always had him playing in the last rotation of cornerbacks. Murphy also benefited from Crawford's injury.

The team is going with 4 TE's which meant one less WR position.

I agree with you on Thompson but not with Royster. Helu can do it all. Run, catch, and pass block. Royster is not even close to this guy talent wise. Everyone forgets last year that Morris won the job by default. Hightower, Helu, and Royster were all hurt this time last year. If Helu was 100 % healthy last year he would have been the starter and had a huge year.

Doh!! 1.1 yards more per average. I like them both. Although I think Royster is the more natural runner I think Helu will play more. I agree with others that injury concerns for Helu and Thompson influence coaches decisions too. Both Helu and Thompson had a more extensive injury history in college than Royster. Cooley said yesterday he thought there was a chance Royster could be traded. He felt Royster would bring more in return than White.

here is my take , huge gamble on minniefield to get to the PS . however if he does it will be because of injury history

gumbs over gomes was a good move

pashos being cut is no big deal , he is a phone call away

keping white to try to trade him is ok . the other thing is if you are trading KC in the future maybe you are giving white the time he needs to get his issues under control

Looks like they are going to keep White. At least until other players are back from suspensions.

When Jenkins and Jackson are back from suspension, he is going to be one of the players cut at that point.

People who are trying to rationalize it seem to think that the main reason he'll be kept is to simulate Vick in practice for the opener.

I think that's pretty stupid. Not like they haven't been practicing for the Eagles well before now.

Only reason to keep White is to try and coach him up into a viable backup for RG3. If White could actually pass, it would mean our offense doesnt change from QB to QB. Its a risk based on the fact that the guy we released to hold onto White might get picked up else where. But I think we all know the plan is to trade Cousins at some point. Or if White learns to pass beyond 10 yards, hell we could have two pieces of trade bait. But thats a reach i admit.
