FNG wil now be known as FOG
I hate to say this, but I am starting to get a little nervous about Bo.
These are his recruits using his system.
I am tired of going through the new head coach transition period, new staff, new systems.
I liked Frank, but never thought he was the right pick. I feel like TO forced Frank on us a little bit. I was excited about Callahan at first, but that faded pretty quickly.
I am still excited about Bo, but what is going on. He said last year that a defense this year would be better then last year. He is a defensive guy and our defense was so good for two years, then boom.
I don't want our football program to be a revolving door for head coaches.
But I am starting to get a little nervous about Bo.
First off Bo is not going anywhere while TO is the AD unless he takes a HC job at another university. Bo is a damn fine football coach and it takes time he's a young HC still learning himself with a new offense and playing in a new conference. To all the bitchers and whiners out there the Bo isn't the man for the job just remember ho long it TO to win NC's. If people bring up Bob Stoops big fucking deal what has he done with his own recruits but underacheive sure he won a NC not with his recruits.
Where does this idea that everyone wants Pelini fired come from? I saw one title alluding to that and I don't think the OP of ended up with that position.
So let's back off that one okay? It's not an issue.
However I and appears some others on this board are not happy with the way this season has gone and are looking at why. And because we dare to speak the unspeakable and say that maybe, just maybe Pelini is not infallable we become bitchers and whiners?
And get off the damn Natty bs. Nobody is bitching about not making it to the BCSCG. It is about consistency.. What has to be said to make this clear.
It is not about National Championships. It is not about conference championships. It is not even about BCS bowls. It is about getting manhandled by average and below average teams when we have seen the abiliity to controll games against opponents of the same level.
C-O-N-S-I-S-T-E-N-C-Y Pure and simple.
And give Osborne a freaking break. This is starting to piss me off. This argument has been washed down the drain. At this point Pelini is no where near the level of a coach Osborne was. He should not even be compared. Osborne may have taken a long way around to a national championship but that ride was with winners all the way. He did not field inconsistent teams that got manhandled every other week at any point in his career.
I remember Osborne being criticized about being too conservative. I was one of the people who criticized him, but he was a way more consistent than Bo is and his players seemed to play hard for him in every game. We sure don't see that with Bo, do we?
I wonder if part of the problem is a lack of understanding what being a Husker entails. The history of the "Brand" Huskers that includes a work ethic that kids these days just don't have when they come into a program.
One of the things Stoops did when he became HC @ Oklahoma was to each the players the history of the Sooners. To make sure they understood exactly who they were representing.
Maybe we are missing that. Hell perhaps Pelini really doesn't understand it.
