Sad but true.

Next year we will finally rid ourselves of Nash. Julius should be back and healthy. If it keeps going this way we may get our lottery pick (top 5 protected, right?). And there are some good FA's available. Portland is due to get gutted: Aldridge, Lopez, and Matthews all free agents. Depending on how things work out this year in Cleveland, Love could still be a pipe dream.

If we free our books a bit; Get Randle back; Get a lottery pick; and pick up at least 1 decent FA - we may finally have something to root for in 2016.

At this point I am just rooting for Kobe to put up some good stats. I don't even recognize this roster at this point.

I really like Byron as a coach, we all knew they would not be contenders right out of the gate, it's going to be a process this season. Things would be a lot easier with Nick Young and Randle.
When Kobe and J Hill leave the floor they look lost, they could use a Nick Young to take some of the pressure off in the scoring department.

This season is about nothing more than Kobe showing he can still play at a high level and figuring out which of the young guys are going to be kept around for when the re-build begins in earnest. They just need to show that they have some pieces that would be attractive to top FA's.

Well the sad part is that right of the gate we started the season with injuries. Not much a team can do when your missing key pieces. I do see a commitment more from these guy's to Byron's philosophy, but we just don't have the horses.

Next season will be very interesting, this roster could look completely different, for the best or the worst. We could be in for another year of no optimism. If we don't get a top 5 pick or a key FA, we are fucked. :gaah:

Whom is the best player on the team? If the answer is a 19 year veteran named Bryant then there lye's the problem. Every successful team in the NBA has at least 3 super stars and the Lakers have 1 and it will be a miracle if he can hold up a full season with no help. If Mitch were smart he would have traded Bryant 5 years ago when he could have rebuilt the team with the talent he would have acquired. Too late now. I really miss Jerry West...:L

not so sure how great of a free agent class its going to be. a quick glimpse shows a ton of player options and restricted free agents. does kobe come back after what looks to be a pretty bad year. hes due to make 25 mil. next season. Im not so sure the blazer team anyone leaves to join lakers..its going to take a big signing like maybe rondo.
