The Nuge has been cut. Repeat, the Nuge has been cut. I think this one will come back to kick the Steelers in the Butt.

reading up on this kicker.

he seems like a very good dude whom the Texans used as sort of a scape goat for their offensive ineffectiveness. They released him even though he was a top 10 kicker and showed mental toughness coming back from a bad streak with long field goals.

he's since then been a reliable journeyman filing in for injured kickers.

He's like the Carson Palmer of kickers, lol.

Welcome home Randy.

I'm just happy to learn that the guy can make a 50 yarder and could kick touchbacks (even under the old rules). About the only guy I remember us ever having (for any amount of time) with a strong leg was Neil Rackers..... And he mostly got screwed by being on an awful team and playing on an awful surface (the natural grass experiment at the Paul).

I didn't mean to post that under my Cincygrad handle, that was meant to be under my Mrschaney handle. :)

BTW June..... I'm onto you. I've noticed lately that good ole' Butch Hobson has been referring to PBS as 'The Paul.' Since you are the first person I ever remember using that name, it rung some bells. And now it's all starting to make sense. You are Geoff Hobson. Crazy.

That's amazing! I haven't visited the team site in years. I just want one reference to the Brown System and I'm in for another decade of the status quo.

The "BROWN SYSTEM" is a style of football coined by the great Bengals owner, Mike Brown. In short, the system is a dynamic scheme in which the Bengals execute excellence in all aspects of the game, starting with the draft team all the to the players. The system is a known threat to the NFL, which seeks parity. Under "THE BROWN SYSTEM" the Bengals would create a dynasty unequaled in professional sports. So to stymie "THE BROWN SYSTEM", the league is constantly doing all it can to undermine Mike Brown. The NFL tends to favor the large market teams and should "THE BROWN SYSTEM" gain full steam in a small market such as Cincinnati, the league would go broke. Examples of "stymying" "THE BROWN SYSTEM include, but are not limited to poor officiating against the Bengals, moving the touchback to the 25 yard line versus the 20 and last, but certainly not least is the backing up of the point after attempt, to sabotage our kicking game as can be seen in the unraveling of the great kicker, Mike "the Nuge" Nugent. You know, what happened to our stickY????????????????????I guess the League has removed my sticky!

Hobson has to search for material every so often. every writer goes through a time in his life where things take precedence over writing. June was there to fill the gaps, he should at least take the Chaney gang to lunch at Cracker Barn or something like that.

This team made it an "offseason priority" to bring this guy back. He had 6 attempts, and missed his most important one.

Hobson will say that all of the cap space has been used up now
