we have problems mostly defense injuries and Cutler hurt, a good running game could help us out at QB and our Defense by keeping them off the field. we have a good line and 3 good runningbacks and enough WR weapons to keep the Defense Honest. and we really need to improve our running game anyway. But now more than ever. I think we could make a game out of it if we can establish it this week.Use Micheal Bush for what hes good for. Hopefully Forte can break free for some long yards too.

and if you think about it theres really nothing better for our rookie Olineman than blocking for the running game. they know it and we know it. the thing that could easily sink this idea is getting behind on the scoreboard early. But it would be great for us if we could actually do it, Pound the Rock and wear down the Defense. for one thing there is no better way to attack a good 3-4 defense than with a good solid running game.

it does seem unlikely that we could run it effectively for 4 quarters but its more unlikely to think Josh McCown can make safe throws all night. At least becoming a Running team gives us a fighting chance.

Although i like your thinking......Run stopping is pretty much GB defensive strength.
It may of worked if Cutler was playing, but he`s not.
And they sure as hell won`t let forte beat them.
They will let Mccown try to beat them than forte.......It doesn`t bode well.

only way to establish the run is to not fall behind and play catch up all game. I really wish the bears would start taking the ball on kickoffs instead of D. Drive down the field and get ahead.

Fuck the running game . GB defends it well. Our WRs & TE are going to have to step up in this game.
M.Bennet @ TE especially.
Reasons: GB ranks 4th vs the run. While getting good CB play.
Capers took Marshall out of the game plan last year by Doubling him.
Just think M. Bennet should have a field day w/ coverage directed @ BM & AJ. Earl Bennet should also enjoy the reaps of that coverage.
If we run the ball at all it should be outside runs, to tire the big fucks on GB D-line out.
WR screens would also accomplish that.
Just think throwing the ball in this game matters a whole lot more.:suds:

The last thing you ever say versus a good offensive team, especially with your backup QB playing, is "fuck the running game".

If the Bears are to have any shot at winning this game, it's by controlling the clock and keeping GB's offense on the sidelines as much as possible. The Bears will have to run the ball efficiently tomorrow night.

We have a true West Coast O now. The WC uses a short passing game to move the chains, depending on coverage.
Was more than half blitzed when I posted Fuck the r game. I know we have to run the ball some to keep their front 7 honest.
But to think you can run the ball consistently against those big fucks on GBs D-line is just plain stupid.
Running on 1rst & 2nd down will play to GB's favor, putting us in 3rd & long. And Capor's blitz package takes over.
Just glad Trestman is directing our O , and that none of you guys are.

Well Forte had a pretty good game. Bush did too. Our TE didn't do too much but our Offense played great especially taking 8 mins off the clock to finish the game. Our OLINE is really starting to roll now.

Swing and a miss...

33 Rushing Attempts for 171 Yards... 5.2 YPC.

I'm glad Trestman is directing the offense as well. Because he clearly knows what he's doing, and established a run game. Never abandoning it when it wasn't necessarily clicking early on either. Didn't put all of the pressure on his backup QB to win on the road.

The running game won the Bears this game. It wore the Green Bay defense down, ate up the clock, and kept the Bears defense on the sidelines.
